First Basecamp ConversationApril 14, 2020
We are happy to announce that we will host our first Basecamp Conversation of the Canadian Outdoor Summit on Friday, April 17th 2020 at 1pm (EST)!
Basecamp Conversations are free events. However, we have limited spaces available, to register for the first Basecamp Conversation, click here.
As a reminder, these are online meetings designed for us to gather, support each other and explore ways to mitigate the negative impact of COVID-19 on Led Outdoor Activities (and other programs in general).
For this first conversation, we are proposing 4 topics to get the ball rolling. There will be an opportunity for you to express which topics are most pressing to you and they will be part of future Basecamp Conversations. Remember, the impact of COVID-19 will be felt over a long period of time. We are in this together and hope that by pooling our collective knowledge and
experience that some solutions may begin to emerge. Our plan is to host a series of these
Basecamp Conversations as we make our way together towards the Summit. We thank you in
advance for taking part.
The four topics will be:
• How to mitigate the impact of losing clientele
• Adapting outdoor program in the days of COVID-19
• Access to public land and parks
• Ensuring the outdoor community benefits from economic stimulus packages
Just like the Summit gathering in Gatineau, these Basecamp Conversations are meant to be active and participatory processes. Please come ready to be part of the problem-solving process and be a positive contributor to the National Outdoor Community.
Looking forward to kicking off the weekend by your side, virtually!
